Brand new Hughes H-4 Hercules Flying Boat, nicknamed "The Spruce Goose," steel model kit by Metal Earth, featuring a highly detailed exterior and classified as a moderate difficulty build. This officially licensed model kit comes in a brand new box, includes 111 parts, a display stand, and has no openings in the assembled model. The finished dimensions are approximately 12.6 inches long, 8.5 inches wide, and 3.8 inches high. No glue or paint is required for assembly, though tweezers or similar tools are recommended. The Hughes H-4 Hercules was designed as a transatlantic transport plane during World War II but was not completed until after the war. Built almost entirely of birch wood due to wartime aluminum restrictions and weight concerns, it became the largest amphibious plane ever to fly, completing only one brief flight on November 2, 1947. The aircraft remains in good condition and is currently on display at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon, USA.
