Proposed as a solution to overpopulation and global warming, "downsizing" quickly becomes popular for a different reason - tiny people can live in opulence and afford dollhouse-sized McMansions. Paul, an overworked everyman, is struggling financially like most people. So, he decides to shrink himself and move to Leisureworld, a supposedly utopian community of downsized people. But once he's tiny, Paul realizes that classism, racism, and the rest of the problems of the world are still around, no matter how small you are.
