The iPhone 15 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display that now includes the Dynamic Island, previously exclusive to the Pro models, which provides a fluid way to see alerts and live activities. It is powered by the A16 Bionic chip, the same as the iPhone 14 Pro, offering a significant performance upgrade over its predecessor. A major change is the switch from the Lightning port to a USB-C port, allowing for a single cable to charge the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The camera system sees a major improvement with a new 48MP Main camera that uses a quad-pixel sensor, enabling super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP) and a 2x Telephoto option. It also includes the Photonic Engine for better low-light photography. The device retains a durable design with a Ceramic Shield front, a color-infused glass back, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, along with safety features like Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite.
